The economic downtrend will defer some of the IT modernization projects businesses had planned. However, there will be no slowing when it comes to IT projects that are tied to business outcomes, says Barry Brunsman, global leader, CIO center of excellence, KPMG International.
Brunsman believes there will likely be an increase in investment in data and analytics, as utilizing analytics effectively can provide businesses with a key advantage in navigating tough economic conditions.
“Businesses are going to continue with some of their core digital journeys, focusing on those that enable them to connect with their customers or give competitive advantage,” he says.
